Where were you on Sunday evening? You missed the launch of St. Matt’s Coffee House. Those of us who had not had the pleasure of meeting Paul Rumbolt came out of curiosity to see what he had to offer. We were treated to a fine evening of entertainment.
Paul is a very talented twelve string guitar player and a fine entertainer. His repertoire of songs ranged from Newfoundland fishing songs (his native land) through Roger Whittaker, Ian Tyson, Stan Rogers, Ann Murray and his own compositions. His comfort level as an entertainer was demonstrated in his willingness to take requests, try them if he could remember the words and even have one young lady pull up the words on her smart phone and step to the mic to lead us in a sing along.
It wouldn’t be a coffee house if coffee wasn’t available. That was taken care of by a single serve coffee machine that provided you with your choice of coffee, hot chocolate or green tea.
There is no cover charge for these events but donations are gratefully accepted to help cover our costs.
Thanks for a great evening Paul and we look forward to the next gathering on Sunday Oct. 20th at 6:30 PM. Come and bring a friend.
