Study Group and the Gospel of Mark

Our Saturday morning study group will begin with a focus on the Gospel of Mark.  This Gospel will be the source of most of the gospel readings starting in December.
For Saturday, October 5, people are invited to bring one or more of their favourite resources for this Gospel ( I have “Say to This Mountain”  and hope to find a copy of Ragamuffin Gospel), and we will discuss different points of view about the Gospel as a whole (when written, by whom, purpose — we will hopefully discuss the central or overall message at our last session).  If you have any friends who would like to come, please invite them.
I believe Mark is the best story-teller of the Gospel writers, and, to me, is closest to the heart of what Jesus was about — but that would probably be another discussion.
For newcomers, our study group meets at 10 am at the office at 2035 – 26A Street, and meets for about an hour and a half.  We come with different points of view and the readiness to respect each other’s differences, glad for new perspectives, and for
